Yes… Well the other day I got the windows 7 beta from the Microsoft website.

My first thought? ‘This beats Vista already’. For some explanation, they had toned UAC down, which is a welcomed relief after Vista’s constant pop-ups…

I had a look around the system, and it is much faster then Vista, using the same hardware, and also… it looks AWESOME!!!! The UI has had another overhaul, however not as much as the XP-Vista transformation.

The Windows 7 system programs, such as paint and notepad have both had the Ribbon interface upgrade, and they are much better with it! Paint has also had upgrades in other areas, but Panit.Net still wins.

The context menus are better to, with the options more clearly explained.

Now, my very important question, how well does it work for programming? That will have to be answered at a later date.

Another feature that I wish I could test is the amazing Touch, but, sadly, I don’t have any hardware with touch support :(.
